About their distance / Petra Szemán in conversation with Patrick W. Galbraith

Recording of an online talk event that was conducted for the launch of my video 'About their distance' (2023), broadcasted on Zoom and Twitch on 29 February 2024. This is the edited down version of an originally 2+ hr conversation.
The talk/in conversation centres around the awkward intensities of fandom, anime pilgrimage (seichi junrei), slipping into the virtual, desire for movement, the capacity of multilayered entanglements with the fictional as an alter-politics, and queer hope.
